If you’re applying for a UK Student visa from 15 July 2025, you may not get a vignette (visa sticker) in your passport. You’ll still get a vignette if you apply as a student dependant or as a main applicant for visas other than sponsored study or work.

We’re excited to share that International Clearing at the University of Nottingham is now open for 2025 entry. If you’re an international student looking for a place at a top UK university, this is your chance!

How to Apply:

(1) Browse available courses on the University of Nottingham Clearing page.

(2) Get your documents ready (transcripts, personal info, etc.).

(3) Submit your application using the International Clearing Form. (Tip: Make sure to apply the international filter to see eligible courses.)

(4) More guidance on how to apply can be found on the university’s Clearing website.

Application Processing Times:

(1) Most complete applications receive a decision within 1–2 working days.

(2) Some may take longer if referred to the relevant academic department.

Important Notes:

(1) Only unconditional offers can be issued.

(2) The university does not contact referees on behalf of applicants.

Starting from 1 July 2025, the student visa application fee for Australia will be from AUD $2,000, unless you are eligible for an exemption.

Please note that visa processing times can vary depending on each individual case. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, you can check the processing time guide on the Australian Department of Home Affairs website. They also provide useful tips to help improve your visa processing time.

HRDS would like to inform you that, following the recent expansion of the service tax scope, a 6% Service Tax will take effect from 1 July 2025 on education services provided by private educational institutions registered under the Education Act 1996. This excludes special schools and language centres. The tax applies specifically to pre-school, primary, lower secondary, upper secondary, and post-secondary education services where the total annual fees exceed RM60,000 per student. However, an exemption applies to Malaysian citizens who hold a valid Disabled Persons (OKU) card issued under the Persons with Disabilities Act 2008 [Act 685].

According to the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD), as outlined in its Guideline on Education Services dated 9 June 2025, the following fees are subject to the 6% Service Tax:

a) Tuition fees

b) Registration fees

c) Admission charges

d) Co-curricular fees

e) Teaching aid/facility charges

f) Any other charges or fees related to education imposed by the institution

To support a smooth transition, the government has introduced a transitional measure stating that the Service Tax will not apply to any payments received before 1 July 2025, even if the services are delivered after that date. Therefore, any school fees paid by 30 June 2025 will not be subject to the 6% tax.
