UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) are encouraging UK-bound international students to apply for their visas as early as possible and with the right documents, so they can start their studies without delay.
It's important that you don't wait for exam results or Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) to start getting ready. They should begin preparing their documents now to avoid delays. On the GOV.UK website, there is a list of documents that students must provide, as well as documents they may need to provide. Find more information here: www.gov.uk/student-visa/documents-you-must-provide
Students from some countries may also need to use a bank account to prove their funds for a UK Student Visa and show the money has been in their account for at least 28 days before applying. They should make sure this money is available for their studies ahead of time and check their bank statement meets UKVI requirements. Find out more here: www.gov.uk/student-visa/money.
Please contact our education advisors if you need more advice on applying for a UK student visa.
