HRDS is a training and education services provider based in Brunei. We help students pursue higher education abroad by guiding them through every stage of their academic journey from choosing suitable universities and courses, to preparing and tracking applications, interview preparation, university acceptance and enrolment, and pre-departure arrangements. As part of providing these services, we collect and process personal data belonging to students.

In the course of providing our services, we may collect and process the following types of personal data:
Personal information: full name, date of birth, gender, citizenship, home and mobile phone numbers, email address, home address.
Education and employment information: place of work or school, academic qualifications, work experience.

Emergency contact information: names and contact details of parents, guardians or next-of-kin.

Event participation details: information you provide when registering for our education fairs, seminars, or other events.
Feedback and testimonials: any reviews, comments or testimonials you provide about our services.

Provide you with information, advice and guidance on studying abroad.
Assist you with university applications, interview preparation, visa processes, and other services we provide.
Communicate with partner universities and relevant authorities on your behalf.
Organise education fairs, seminars, and other events.
Respond to your enquiries and provide ongoing support throughout your preparation for studying abroad.
Comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Partner universities, their representatives and admissions: to help answer your enquiries, provide up-to-date information, support your application, track its progress, issue offers and acceptance, and manage enrolment.
Accommodation providers: if you request assistance with arranging student housing.
Brunei Student Societies abroad: with your consent, to help you connect with local student communities and receive peer support.
We do not share your personal data with any other third parties unless you have given your consent or we are required to do so by law.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

Limiting access to your data to authorised HRDS education advisors and management only.
Keeping physical documents securely stored in locked cabinets.
Using secure, password-protected digital systems to track and manage student information.
Restricting access to digital records to authorised staff only, using secure company email accounts and devices.
Ensuring continuity of service by securely sharing relevant information with other authorised staff when necessary.
Regularly reviewing and updating our security practices to keep your information safe.
However, no method of storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
At HRDS, we understand that students may undertake different programs with varying durations. Therefore, we generally retain your personal data for the length of your program plus an additional 4 years. This allows us to continue supporting you, especially if you return after graduation seeking assistance with further studies.
We will also keep certain information for longer if required to comply with legal, regulatory or accounting obligations. When your data is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete or destroy it.
As part of our services, we may need to share your personal data with our partner universities and other organisations located outside Brunei. This is necessary for your university applications, enrollment, and other related services.
When we transfer your data overseas, we take steps to ensure it is protected in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Order (PDPO) and relevant laws. We will only share your personal data with trusted organisations that have appropriate security measures in place.
